I read of the loving kindness and restoration of God toward Israel and I claim it also for my own as Paul allows. Jeremiah 31:1-6 (7-14).
I try some other Psalms besides 118:1-2,14-24 for Easter, maybe some laments, since laments always close with surprising, contrasting praise.
This I know: God shows no favoritism, partiality, or varying levels of respect based on who a person is. Acts 10:34-43
We are dead, risen with Christ, and now hidden in Christ. That's the gospel story right there! Colossians 3:1-4
The imperatives that Sunday morning are stunning: Don't fear. Come see. Go quickly. Don't be afraid. Go tell. Matthew 28:1-10
Jesus asked Mary a question and waited for her answer. I think Jesus knew about the power of the gift of listening. John 20:1-18

Time to get the pictures hung in the halls of your mind, specific, detailed and colorful, of the BEST case scenarios. Jeremiah 31:1-6 (7-14)
What day is mine? Today!

Do more of life in the witness stand rather than at the prosecutor's desk or on the judge's bench. Acts 10:34-43
Again, it really is worth contemplation, and journaling, and coaching: What do you really want? Where are your affections? Colossians 3:1-4
Can you access it? The last time fear and joy mingled in you, to tingle and tantalize and take you beyond yourself? Matthew 28:1-10
Bible Reading Group Homework
1. Tell your group an Easter or Spring story from your childhood.
2. Read or listen to Jeremiah 31:1-6 (7-14). What do you think the everlasting love from God meant to Israel? What does it mean to you?
3. Read or listen to Acts 10:34-43 and Colossians 3:1-4. Identify the parts of these two readings that sound like they might have been early hymns or creeds, recited often to tell the story of Jesus. Read these aloud together and listen to the power of your voices speaking together.
4. Read or listen to Matthew 28:1-10. Dramatize, draw, rap, or sing a hymn of this story. Identify and list the command verbs. Tell of a time when fear and joy mingled in you.
5. Read or listen to John 20:1-18. Discover and re-tell other times when Jesus asked a question and then listened. (Matthew 16:13-15; Mark 5:30; John 11:34; Luke 24:13-14). Tell why or why not you believe Jesus knew and used the power of just being with someone (compare John 14:3 and Matthew 28:20).
