Revelation 20:11-15

1.    When was the last time you did jumping jacks for exercise? Tell how it went for you.

2.    Read or listen to Revelation 20:11-15. Please notice several items here: the throne, the face, the books, opened, book of life, judged. Note their context, content, colors, powers, etc.

3.    Read or listen to Revelation 20:11-15. Find some of the items listed in question #2 in Revelation 13:8 and Revelation 4:1-5:14. Compare and contrast these items found at Revelation’s beginning (4-5), middle (13), and end (20) of Revelation.

4.    Read again Revelation 20:11-15. Then read Esther 6:1-3. Scan the story of Esther to discover the place in the plot of the opening of the book. What was the king’s concern after hearing the book read?

5.    Read or listen again to Revelation 20:11-15. Now read and compare Daniel 7:9-14, regarding the same items already worked with. This is just a hint that we will study Daniel after Revelation. They are like the two halves of a jumping jack child, mirror images of one another, fascinating for knowing God. Bonus: Find and ponder these same items in Matthew 25:31-40.

Finale: What means the most to you out of today’s reading of Revelation 20:11-15? What will you do about it now?

*************
