Revelation 21:1

1.    Research how many satellites are in orbit. Tell about them.

2.    Read or listen to Revelation 21:1-22:5. Let your thoughts and feelings get lost in the sounds of these words, and the images they let you imagine. Read the passage aloud and together.

3.    Read or listen to Revelation 21:1. From where did the first heaven and earth come (Genesis 1:1-2)? Where have they gone by this point in Revelation (Revelation 20:11; Daniel 2:35)? What is left of them (2 Peter 3:10-13; Isaiah 65:17)?

4.    Read again Revelation 21:1. Which of these heavens do you think is included in this clean-up? Sky, the heaven where the birds fly (Genesis 1:6-8, 20)? Space, the heaven where the stars and planets orbit (Genesis 1:14-19; Psalm 147:4)? Or God’s home, the high and holy place (Isaiah 57:15; 1 Kings 8:27-49; Isaiah 66:1)? Are you willing to be ready for the clean-up?

5.    Read or listen again to Revelation 21:1. Make a list of who and what get to be no more (Revelation 19:20; 20:10, 13; 21:1, 4; 22:5; 18:21). What had Babylon done on the sea (Revelation 18:17-19)? Earlier an entire mountain was thrown into the sea and only affected a third of the sea (Revelation 8:8), but Revelation 21:1 pictures a time when a mountain will fill the whole earth (Daniel 2:35), and there will be no more sea, no more oppressions making someone rich.

Finale: What means the most to you out of today’s reading of Revelation 21:1? What will you do about it now?

*************

1. Investigue cuántos satélites están en órbita.  Hable sobre ellos.

2. Leer o escuchar Apocalipsis  21:1-22:5.
