2. Read or listen to Revelation 22:6-10. These verses begin the epilogue of the book of Revelation. Other mentions of “faithful and true” are in Revelation 19:9; 3:14; 1:5. Other mentions of the angel and why he came are in Revelation 4:1; 1:1; as well as in Daniel 2:28-29. Read, compare, discuss.
3. Read or listen to Revelation 22:7. Other mentions of the quick return of Jesus are in Revelation 3:11; 1:7. Another mention of the blessing for reading this book is in Revelation 1:3. What might be the function, for the reader, of these repetitive mentions at the beginning and end of the book of Revelation?
4. Read or listen to Revelation 22:8-9. Compare Revelation 19:10 and 14:6-12. Why does the angel refuse to let John worship him?
5. Read or listen to Revelation 22:10. Compare the sealed book in Revelation 5:1-5 and the open book in Revelation 10:2. Compare also the shut and sealed books in Daniel 8:26; 12:4,9. What did Jesus say about understanding book of Daniel (Matthew 24:15)?
